Our products have been engineered to provide full capabilities in IP load balancing and fault tolerance to any IP based application. Current uses include :
- - Internet sites with high traffic requirements, including Web, FTP, media streaming, and content delivery networks
- - Hosted applications using thin-client architectures, such as Windows Terminal Services
- - Other IP services requiring optimal performance, including SMTP, DNS, RADIUS, TFTP
Our solutions constantly monitor backend servers et check that they work. As soon as a fault is found, the server is moved to a passive state and requests are sent to another server. By using load balancing, requests are distributed to every backend server using a choice of different algorithms. As soon as a faulty server is found, it simply doesn’t get requests anymore. It is of course possible to install a pair of redundant load balancers in order for it not to become the Single Point Of Failure.
