By providing Sefanet with a redundant and highly scalable MAN infrastructure and routing solution at the fraction of the cost of other solutions, Virtua gave Sefanet the opportunity to invest in its own success.
Virtua put in place a revolutionary solution based on software BGP routing using commodity hardware. Performance is excellent, at about 20% of the cost of a similar Cisco based solution, including full hardware redundancy.
